Distance limit on the Ola Share offer

Ola has fixed an upper limit on the distance that can be covered using Ola Share having fixed fare of Rs. 50. For the first 7 KM travelled by a passenger via Ola Share in and around Delhi, he / she will have to pay only Rs. 50 as the fare, which would be comparatively higher at the prevailing rates. Delhi is somehow a costly city for daily travelling. So those who regularly use Ola cabs, specially its Share rides for daily work will be very beneficial with this announcement. However, if the trip covered is greater than 7 KM, then the passenger will be charged as per regular Ola Share fare. The trip distance will be measured using GPS system installed in all smart phones used by Ola drivers.

Terms and conditions of the new Ola Share plan

  • The offer is somehow limited to NCR and its adjoining areas. Other cities might also get the same offer very soon.
  • This Ola Share offer will only be valid for weekdays, i.e. Ola Share passengers can ride the cab up to 7 KM for just Rs. 50. In the Saturday and Sunday, this new offer will not be applicable.
  • Journey time to avail this Ola Share flat fare of Rs. 50 is between 08:00 Hrs to 22:00 Hrs. Beyond that, normal fares will be applicable.

Advantages of the new Ola offer

Delhi is one of those cities in India where there is always surging of App based cab fares. So cab passengers who use Ola’s Share service will be rejoiced with the company’s new offer. Also there are several instances where there is a failure in network connectivity which may arise either due to huge network traffic, or poor internet connection or bad weather. So users can now travel up to 7 KM in their Ola Share cabs in the mentioned timings on a flat fare of Rs. 50, which is very reasonable. They can either pay it via Ola cash or make cash payment directly to the driver.
